Today is Day 12 of the 25 Days of Christmas.
I continue to present you with activities and ideas to celebrate the 25 Days of Christmas together, apart, and I appreciate those of you who are letting me know that you’re participating. I’ve learned from you about new movies and new Christmas poems and other things as you have taken part in this effort.
The activity for Day 12 is to do a little research about the holidays other than Christmas that are celebrated during December. I celebrate Christmas as a Christian, and other holidays during December include Diwali, Los Posadas, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, and the Winter Solstice. Check out some of these and other holidays celebrated during December and learn about them and the culture of those who celebrate them.
The other part of the activity for Day 12 is to take a little time to reflect on how you’re feeling. Are you weary, depressed, or sad about not celebrating with friends and family? If you need to reach out to someone to talk, do so. It always helps to have support from others.
Rest a little on Day 12, learn about the December holidays, and check in with yourself to see how you’re feeling. Also, check in with your friends and family members to see how thery’re doing. Reaching out will be good for you and good for the other person as well.
